Enter the food and drink total, keep the service charge at 10% (set automatically for Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and others) and choose how many people. EasySplit adds the charge and divides it, so each share includes its part of the service charge.
It depends on where you are: in the US 18–22% is normal, in Canada 15–20%, in much of Europe you round up, and in Japan, Korea and Hong Kong tipping isn’t expected. The tipping guide lists the usual service charge, tax and tip for 30+ countries.
Yes. Log each expense in the currency you paid in. EasySplit fetches live exchange rates (you can edit them) and converts everything to the group’s main currency for the final balances.
It adds up what everyone paid and consumed, nets it out, and suggests the fewest payments that settle everyone. You can switch this off to see who owes whom directly.
Mark a couple or family as “settled together” so they pay as one. Tap 🎂 to treat the birthday person. Split by item, by shares or by exact amounts when people had different things.
EasySplit is free, needs no account and works offline. Your groups are stored only on your device; share a link or QR code when friends need a copy. If it helps you, you can support the project on Ko-fi.
